Pam Berry, Instructor

Pam Berry has had an active real estate license since 1979. She was approved to teach pre-licensing, post-licensing and continuing education in 1996. Having been a consistent, multi-million producer, she works actively with buyers and sellers. Her career has included Broker-in-Charge for many years as well as a sales manager helping many agents further their real estate careers. Hands on experience adds to the firsthand knowledge to share with the students attending her classes.

Stephanie Fessel, Vice President of Education for Intracoastal Realty and Education Director for Intracoastal Real Estate Academy

Stephanie is a native of Dallas, Texas. Prior to moving to Wilmington in 2017, she and her family lived in Charlotte, NC for 18 years. Stephanie is the Vice President of Education for Intracoastal Realty. In her role, she oversees training and agent development for Intracoastal Realty, including the company’s exclusive Pathways to Excellence training program for new and seasoned agents. She is also the Director of the firm's real estate school, Intracoastal Real Estate Academy. A career sales trainer and former real estate agent herself, Fessel has enjoyed a highly successful real estate career since 2001, most recently serving as Director of Learning for Premier Sotheby’s International Realty’s Southwest Florida and North Carolina Regions. Prior to that, she held positions as Director of Professional Development for Allen Tate Realtors in Charlotte, NC and as Director of Career Development for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Charlotte, NC. She and her husband, Dennis, reside in the Monkey Junction area of Wilmington. They have three grown children, one Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, one Yorkie, a son-in-law actively serving in the United States Army in Fort Bragg; and four grandchildren. She enjoys eating Mexican food, traveling, spending quality time with her family, and enjoying her favorite cocktail while basking in the sun at one of Carolinas’ fabulous beaches.

Phillip Galloway, Founder & Instructor

Phillip Galloway, is the most experienced real estate instructor in the area. He has over 48 years of experience in residential sales and leasing, as well as commercial sales and leasing. Many students who attend The Market Place are seeking careers in real estate sales. They enjoy the many references to actual real life stories that come with his many years of experience. This helps make this course and school stand out in the Wilmington area.

Laurie Ann Gardner, Instructor

After growing up in Eastern, NC and moving around to different areas of the state, Laurie Ann was drawn back east by her love for the beach and Wilmington’s relaxed, coastal lifestyle. Her passion for real estate was born out of many years of property management, buying and selling houses and home renovations. She graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned an MBA from Duke University. Prior to obtaining her real estate license, Laurie Ann specialized in marketing communications for over 20 years. She decided to apply this knowledge and experience to her real estate business and to teaching prelicensing, postlicensing and continuing education across North Carolina. Laurie Ann is an active real estate broker assisting both buyers and sellers in the Wilmington area. She loves working with people and strives to provide the highest level of personal customer service to her clients and students. In addition to teaching, Laurie Ann uses her real estate expertise to write and develop material for new classes. She loves calling the Wilmington area home and enjoys all that it has to offer. Laurie Ann is a member of the Cape Fear REALTORS.

Gabriela Huffman, Instructor

Gabriela Huffman is a Wilmington, NC native and began her real estate career in 2011. She is a well rounded instructor, teaching Prelicensing, Postlicensing, Continuing Education, and Ethics. Students will choose to take her classes for her direct approach, the learning atmosphere, relevant real estate cases, detailed forms review, and no-broker-left-behind mentality. While in class, you can expect to learn more than just what’s needed to pass the tests, and have fun while doing it. On the other hand, you will be required to pay attention and keep distractions down, as everyone’s time is valuable!

George Perdue, Instructor

Robert (George) Perdue is a licensed real estate agent in North Carolina and was previously licensed in Connecticut for over 15 years. George is a retired mathematics and business education teacher, most recently having taught at Cape Fear Community College. His goal is to use his professional and educational experiences to help students achieve their goal of becoming a real estate broker. George provides an extensive curriculum to prepare his students for the North Carolina Licensing Exam.
