Pam Berry, Instructor

Pam Berry has had an active real estate license since 1979. She was approved to teach pre-licensing, post-licensing and continuing education in 1996. Having been a consistent, multi-million producer, she works actively with buyers and sellers. Her career has included Broker-in-Charge for many years as well as a sales manager helping many agents further their real estate careers. Hands on experience adds to the firsthand knowledge to share with the students attending her classes. Students who take her courses sign up again and again as repeat students. Everyone loves Pam's approachable demeanor with her students and her funny sense of humor.

Stephanie Fessel, Education Director & Instructor

Stephanie is a native of Dallas, Texas. Prior to moving to Wilmington in 2017, she and her family lived in Charlotte, NC for 18 years. Stephanie is the Vice President of Education for Intracoastal Realty. In her current role, she oversees training and agent development for Intracoastal Realty, including the company’s exclusive Pathways to Excellence training program for new and seasoned agents. She is also the Director of the firm's real estate school, Intracoastal Real Estate Academy. A career sales trainer and former real estate agent herself, Fessel brings practical application and real world experiences to each of her classes.

Phillip Galloway, Founder

Phillip Galloway is the founder of The Market Place Academy, now known as Intracoastal Real Estate Academy. Phillip retired in 2019 and is now living the good life traveling around the country with his wife in their motorized RV. He is an active real estate broker and has 50 plus years of experience in residential & commercial sales and leasing.

Laurie Ann Gardner, Instructor

After growing up in Eastern, NC, and moving around to different areas of the state, Laurie Ann was drawn back east by her love for the beach and Wilmington’s relaxed, coastal lifestyle. Her passion for real estate was born out of many years of property management, buying and selling houses and home renovations. She is a graduate of UNC and has her MBA from Duke University. Laurie Ann is an active real estate broker assisting both buyers and sellers in the Wilmington area. She loves working with people and strives to provide the highest quality of education to her students. In addition to teaching, Laurie Ann uses her real estate expertise to write and develop material for new courses.

Kate Litaker, Education Services Coordinator

Kate serves as Education Services Coordinator for Intracoastal Real Estate Academy. When you call in to the school, it is Kate's friendly voice who greets you. She also sends out communications regarding your registered courses and answers any questions you may have about how to get licensed in real estate, upcoming classes, tuition costs, etc. She grew up in Kernersville, NC and relocated to Wilmington for college where she earned her BA degree in Communication Studies from UNCW. In August, she married her husband who currently serves in the USMC at Camp Lejeune. Together they have a very energetic two-year old golden retriever named Cooper.

George Perdue, Instructor

Robert (George) Perdue is a licensed real estate agent in North Carolina and was previously licensed in Connecticut for over 15 years. George is a wiz at math as he is a retired mathematics and business education teacher, most recently having taught at Cape Fear Community College. As a full-time instructor, George brings his professional and educational experiences to the classroom to help students achieve their goal of becoming a NC real estate broker. George provides an extensive curriculum to prepare his students for the North Carolina Licensing Exam.
